Don Imus in the Mourning
Help me out…what is Don Imus.
I’ve listened to him a very few times and that was when I was channel surfing in my car.
The stuff he comes up with isn’t thought provoking, cutting edge or even funny (at least to me -and I think I have a pretty good sense of humor, which at times can have a nice touch of sarcasm).
When a radio host has to reach for comments that are insulting and aren’t based on a situation that calls for a reaction (like a political speech or a some environmental catastrophy), it’s pretty sad.
Putting down a college basketball team…A COLLEGE BASKETBALL TEAM!! And using racial slurs to boot is absurd, sick, and asinine. Comedy (which is what he called it) at the expense of others is cheap.
So - Imus, it’s a bunch of folks in America who are mourning the fact that you opened your mouth and spewed the stuff of ignorance.
