What do you do when you’re angry and ready to scream?

Quite often people react to situations around them emotionally rather than rationally. I have seen this all too often with people in my daily life. It’s difficult for humans not to have emotional reactions to the things around them. However, I use a little mind tool to help me deal with a possible emotional reaction I feel might be entering my thoughts. Wait three days.
Yep, that’s right. I have found that most of the things that cause emotional reactions in people are usually forgotten by day three.
Think about it. From getting upset while driving to grades you may have received in school, to most every other emotional reaction you may have – three days later you’ve probably forgotten the entire incident. I know, there are times when you need to call a lawyer, but I’m talking about those smaller things that irk you, cause you to scream, or get angry.
So, the next time you get emotionally upset, say to yourself – “Three Days.” Hopefully, that will quiet your emotional reaction.
